Bukit Timah

Out last adventure in Singapore was to climb around Bukit Timah today. We got to see lots of wild monkeys, a few funny signs, some very steep hills and a huge iguana.

We went to Fort Canning Park in Singapore to kill some time this morning while Grandpa was at work. It was really a lot of fun. We didn't know what to expect, but there was some good stuff to see there.

Henderson Waves

We went to a place called Henderson Waves in Singapore tonight. It was pretty neat to walk around. There was a huge lighted bridge and a series of paths that apparently connect to areas all over the city. We didn't wander off too far, but we did get some exercise (especially going up and down the hills).

Pulau Ubin

We took a boat to the rural island of Pulau Ubin today. We spent most of the time riding bikes that we rented. I rode a tandem with Jake, and he was a great helper. We did run into some wild monkeys, but none of my pictures of them were any good. Afterwards, we went to dinner back on the mainland at a place called Jacob's Cafe, where they we all quite excited to meet a real "Jacob."

Sentosa Island

We went to the fun island of Sentosa in Singapore today and stayed until dark. We took a suspended cable car there and back (very cool). First we went to the aquarium, then to the dolphin show (where it was incredibly hot). We spent some more time around Sentosa and after dinner we went to their light show, which was definitely worth doing. It was pretty late by the time we finally got home. River Boat and Downtown

We went on a riverboat ride and got some more great views of the city. Afterwards we had dinner by the river and walked around some. Here are some pictures from the evening:

Jurong Bird Park

We went to the Jurong Bird Park today, and it was really a lot of fun. We saw some pretty cool stuff. Afterwards, we went up the hill by the park and ate at a fantastic Japanese restaurant. We had to keep ordering more food for the kids because they liked it all so much (well, not the prawn heads so much, but the rest of it).

East Coast Park

We had a great time today riding bikes along Singapore's East Coast Park and finished the day with a wonderful dinner at a seafood place called Jumbo. I didn't have my camera most of the time, but I did break it out and get some pictures:

Singapore Night Safari

The Night Safari was way cool. It was too dark to take good pictures, but it was perfect for watching the animals. I think everyone had a really great time. The bat house was especially cool, because we were right in there with the bats (lots of them).

Here a few mediocre pictures I managed to snap off:
