Easter Morning

Another happy Easter morning with candy, presents and lots of eggs (there seems to be nowhere that the Easter Bunny won't put an egg).

Disney Hollywood Studios

Sometime between when we were last here and now this park changed its name from MGM. This was a dud last time, but it was very cool today. The two biggest differences were (1) the new stunt car show, which is definitely the coolest thing I've ever seen at Disney and (2) the "Tower of Terror," which both Jacob and Lauren went on. People in line couldn't believe it when they saw Jake, and they kept asking how old he was. But he loved it and wouldn't stop talking about it.

Now we're home and can only say that the trip went extremely well. Here are the kids' favorite rides:

Lauren - Thunder Mountain
Jacob - Tower of Terror
Beth - Soarin'

(But they all keep changing their minds).

Other good news: no "character incidents" this year, and nobody had to get pushed to the first aid station in a wheel chair this year.

Animal Kingdom

Animal Kingdom is the best park at Disney, and we had a great day today, even if we were a little tired. The weather could not have been better for this trip. We had some fun rides (Lauren twice did Mt. Everest, which was a little scarier than Thunder Mountain, and she went on the time machine coaster twice as well). The kids thought the It's a Bug's Life show was about the scariest thing ever and we had to leave early with all three of them in tears. The animals are the best part, though. We were on the very first Safari ride of the day and got a great show. Too bad I only had the small camera.

Magic Kingdom

You got to love "Magic Hours." We got to the park before the sun even came up (we were even cold for a little bit), but we were able to go on absolutely everything before 10:00 (not only was there no line for Space Mountain, but there were only a couple other people even on it each time we rode). We decided Space Mountain was too scary for the kids (because of the dark), but later Lauren became Miss Roller Coaster, going on Thunder Mountain four times (and loving it each time).

Disney's Epcot Center

We made a "quick" trip to Disney over spring break. The trip down was great. We left this morning and were checked into our hotel room and in the park before noon (not too bad). I told the kids it's not too often that you get to ride on an airplane, go for a limo ride, cruise on a water taxi and then go to Disney World all before noon. We did Epcot center today, and it's going much better than it did the last time we were here. The kids are braver (everyone did Soarin' and many of the other rides that they were too scared of last time).

Beautiful Evening for Soccer

Jake and Beth had soccer practice after school today. It was almost 70 outside, and the whole family had a good time. It looks like spring is almost here...
