Jacob Gets His First Goal
Jacob has decided that he doesn't like soccer (and that's fine). But somehow, for about 5 minutes, he really got into his game today. He got the ball away from the other team, drove it down the field and scored a goal. He was so happy.
Actually, Lauren and Beth had good games, too. Lauren is starting to do more complicated stuff, like play positions, and she's doing awesome (three goals last week).
Beth is one of the fastest kids on her team. Here's a team photo I was lucky to get today and a couple others of her having fun:

Lauren Runs a Marathon
Lauren ran the marathon today. Well, she ran the Country Music Kids Marathon, which allowed her to do 25 of the 26 miles ahead of time (she did awesome with that) and she did the final mile today with hundreds of other kids.

Zoo with Lucas
We took good friend and neighbor Lucas to the zoo with us. The kids had a ball together. We also got to see the new giraffe exhibit, which isn't nearly as cool as the elephant exhibit, but it's still nice. Jen loved feeding the birds, and even gave Lucas a chance to give it a try.

YMCA Marathon Kickoff
We went to the kickoff party for the YMCA's Country Music Kids Marathon that Lauren will be running in later this month. The weather was awesome and it was a fun time, except for that Y-guy going around scaring kids like Beth...
